A pearl Bomber B worked best for me and Zeke but nothing since June. Strangely we never caught a crappie bouncing that rig along the bottom but we caught more than our share of brush.

Lake being up has not affected bite to much still catching a lot of small fish though,, few keepers now and then,I would say Spencer or blue to stay out of wind depending on what your fishing for

I will be fishing for crappie. Is this a good jig lake or do I need something else in my arsenal just in case?

North of Wiganon is a mudhole. South of the bridge, you can tell where the current is running from the muddy water trail. Some areas are very good clarity, some stained, and some muddy. That was when I went across the bridge towards Chelsea on Saturday morning.

Blue Creek looked pretty normal yesterday. Caught fish from 10-22' with the most productive depths 12-15'. 76 degrees at the end of the day.

We fished piles and lay downs in 10-26ft of water. The deeper piles had more fish, but the better fish were on the shallower lay downs. We used shiners, ruby's, and jigs. All worked equally well. Best jig was a 2" Crappie Kicker in Buster Brown. The lake appeared to begin the turnover Sunday morning on the south end in a few areas. The lake is rising still and they increased the release. It should crest soon and begin the slow pull down.
Early the fish were hugging the bottom of the piles and later in the afternoon they were midway in the water column. Well over 200 caught in two trips, but only around 30 keepers. Looking forward to the big ones grouping back up. Lots of trash north of Goose. We fished all south of Goose to the dam. Beautiful day on the water.
