I am wanting to know if you could get your dream crappie boat what would it be? I have a 21 ft Stratos bass boat now and am selling it because I don't like crappie fishing out of it and my fishing partner (my dad) has some issues moving around in it. I am thinking a center console. Fishing on oolagah the waves are a concern so I want something that can handle them so at least 20 ft? From what I have read I should get fiberglass over aluminum? Does anyone have any ideas on what I should be looking for?

I have a 21ft f blue wave (fiberglass) Pure Bay Center Console, and love it, Great for the Oklahoma wind, Tons of room and lots storage, Many on here have fished out of it with me and can attest to that She wont get real skinny in the shallow water but the deeper v gives a better ride in rough water. My fishing partner has an Excel 21 ft CC and its a great boat to fish out of but not the same ride when the wind gets up. Not even close to a glass boat in my opinion.

I almost went CC on my boat. I prefer aluminum. Glass rides better, but I fish lakes with rocks at times and I like not worrying about a glass boat.

What is a cc? Do you have any comparisons on your boat vs a Lund or other style deep V boats?

CC is center console. I have been running a deep V for 9 years now and really liked the boat. The main issue I had with it was using the trolling motor in the wind. The deep V sets so high out of the water it catches a lot of wind. Other than that, good solid stable and dry boat. I'm going with a center console mainly because I fish up in the rivers a lot and the particular one I'm gonna run has a 12 inch water draft so I can run in skinny water plus they are great all around boats for multiple species fishing. If I just crappie fished only I would have bought a bass boat so you have to decide what works best for you.
