I am hoping that a lot of those boats your seeing have plans to fish the tourney next Saturday. The more the better.

I suspect there will be a drove of fishermen hit Lake Eufaula this weekend. I've been seeing quite a few fishing around the Crowder area and also Blocker bridge but haven't had time to stop and talk to any of them. I plan on going in the morning if nothing happens, will be on call all day Sunday, so tomorrow or nothing this weekend.

Hope you're right young man, hope you're right. Makes a bigger pot for the fishermen that have a good catch. I ended up with around 22 keepers for the day, one really nice crappie close to 2 pounds, the rest in the 1/2 to 1 pound range. Fishing from the dock using minnows in 10-12 feet of water. Bite was strong early this morning, then this evening it was very light........ hardly able to know if you had a fish on or not. Caught one blue cat fishing right off the bottom in 18 feet of water, weighed around 2-1/2 pounds and for a brief moment, I thought I had caught a really nice crappie. Now excuse me while I heat of the cooking oil........cheers to all.

Put in at Crowder and headed up Rock Creek. Found them way up the creek in the laydowns. Cleaned 14 big females and 1 male. Egg sacks full and getting bloody. They are ready anytime. Rain will be a game changer for awhile.
The fish bit really good today when that sun came out! You have to fund that good water color. If its muddy it hasn't been very good but a little clearer we caught fish![]()
I was down there last Sunday OkieDon, had the same experience, fishing 4'-5' deep on the channel edges where there was structure. I saw a family fishing off shore North of the boat ramp who had a dozen of so on the stringer, everyone else was working hard to get bites. They are in there, you can see them in pockets with shad here and there but loads of fish on the locator but I don't think they are crappie.
I was kjnd of surprised not to catch some sandbass this time of year as well.
On your post about Copperheads, the only good snake is on a pair of boots as far as I'm concerned.
I did see that someone killed a couple of big Mocassins at the boat ramp though.
Good fishing, might see you there sometime, I'm a regular on weekends.
Just another Oklahoma Crappie addict !
Through the cold wet rain today the fish didnt care they bit really good. We had wind and rain from every direction. We kept 29 decent fish. The hot colors today were black/pink whasshoppers with 5/32 chart crappiepro jig heads!EB
As Odie would say I TROTLINED today midlake and found fish in 8' to 15' and hot colors was minners...cleaned 24 but not many good fish. Had like maybe 7 to 8lbs, all females but 4..So its got me thinking savin the best for tomorrow.......Ranger

Well yesterday Odie was begging to catch one on a trotline Ranger!
Today we started at 8:00 and didn't catch a crappie until 1:00. We were having a big sand bass fish off! I lost 5-1! But now Odie knows how to handle a sandie on a spider rig! Lol
We ended up catching a few tho but nothing to brag about! EB
When will Eufaula be ready again. Looks like they are releasing a lot of water. Not for sure where to head. We fished towards Gaines creek from 31 landing last weekend and finally found a few on the bank. I had it in my mind they were still deep. After a couple of hours, I put on a jig and cork.....getting a little slower in figuring them out for some reason.
