Dont wait on the water to go down or clear up. We fished the tourney today and caught fish all day. Granted we caught some small fish but we also caught some really nice fish as well. Were in fish all day. The bite was steady from 10am til after 3pm. We fished lower Gaines around Blocker and Arrowhead......Ranger

we caught them from 8' to 15' but also saw a few fisherman dipping buckbrush and floating jigs under corks. hope this helps,,,,,Ranger

Hit the water after church yesterday. Fished from 3 to 6:30 PM and only caught 2! Hit the buck brush with cork and jig and nailed a beauty female whwn we first got there....seems to be a bad sign recently to catch one when I first get there. Anyway, fished buckbrush for a couple of hours and no more luck. Decided to go to deeper water and spider rig a little, nothing there either. Loaded up boat and headed home. I did talk to a few that had caught fish earlier that morning at the ramp. But they were leaving when we were putting in....should have told me something I guess. Back to the grind and hopeful for next weekend now.

I was out for 4 hours yesterday and only had 15 keppers. With no wind at all the bite gets tougher and the little ones love to bite. You have to cover water and stay moving to maintain steady bite! Todd H was struggling as well! EB

Fished the crowder area and blocker area today and the bite was really slow. Water was alot dirtier than Saturday and had current. Ended up with 14 keepers and twice that of dinks. Slab Bandits today in blk/chart and Blue Boy were the colors. Everyone was having a terrible bite today. Only good thing that came out of it was I marked a dozen more brushpiles in 8' to 12' of water. Had to keep moving to get a bite today and if there was a fish on wood he would bite first time thru....Ranger

Hadnt heard any turkeys yet....Fished the crowder and rock creek area today..was terribly slow for this time of year. Wasn't anyone catching anything even the guides today werent doing very good either.. Ended up with 14 very nice crappie 9 females and 5 males...caught more than I could count as far as dinks go.. water temp was 71 degrees at 7:30 this morning and got up to 73 degrees before I loaded at 5:30pm...slab bandits in the 2 3/8" size worked today in blue/chart and blk/chart..its got to kick in pretty soon I hope.....Ranger
