Went yesterday evening around 4:00 fished till 8:30! We kept 40 with a jig and cork 2 ft deep on the north end. Saw several people walking the banks catching good fish everywhere. It seems that the bank has to have some depth to it though. We looked at some other parts of the lake up there and the water is just way clearer that it should be, we didnt do very good maybe that has something to do with it, the clearer water anyway. But we found more stained water and there they were. But now this cold front will hold them up a little and theyll be back doing there thing agin by the weekend. EB

Wife & I went to Rock Creek yesterday. Where are the fish it? It was like the creek had been over fished. About 25 boat trailers at Crowder & Rock Creek. Saw only 2 small fish one from deep water & one by man fishing from bank. Talked to two other boaters, was poor fishing for them also. Stopped at bait shop near Gentry Creek for minnows he said fish were betting there, But didn't know where to get out of wind and I'm too old to get in boat from bank so went on south (mistake). Dogwoods are in bloom on bank east of bridge and water temp was 60 degrees when left. We used roadrunners, jigs & jigs tipped with minnows & minnows only. Marked fish in 10-20' of water but would not bite. All boats were always on the move.
What is happening on the Big E???? Weather is warming and gonna try to get on the water Sunday.....wondering if anybody was finding any fish
Caught 47 yesterday evening from 4:00-8:00 on the north end. Water temp 62 fish were shallow. EB
Thanks EB. I bet it's fixin to explode
EB, have you been to Graves Crk yet this year???
No I don't fish Graves creek. I went this evening and only had 4! 3 rd day after a cold front sometimes gives them lockjaw. I should've got out in 10-14 ft and caught some of those late blooming staging fish. EB
Bad day with lock jaw crappie. Started on the north end for 3 hrs fishing several spots only boating 3 fish. Left and headed south. Again didnt find and real aggressive fish shallow and didnt see anywhere one catch more than 2 crappie. Wasn't even a fishermen on either of the 2 culverts I saw today. With alot of miles and water on the Ranger today was able to keep 31 yesterday and all were caught in 12 to 14' DOW. Saw lots of fish suspended but they just wouldn't bite...Method was double dippin jigs with clients...toughest day on the water this spring for sure.......Ranger
