The last couple of weeks has shown an increase in activity in shallow water around docks. I've been catching some decent crappie in the 1-2 pound range at 8-10 feet deep on jigs, mainly dark brown and chartruese. Light bite, barely nudge the jig and usually you have to have the jig right in the brush.
Finally found a few nicer slabs this weekend down at our dock. Got lucky and picked up the last 1/4lb of minnows at Lakeside One Stop in Crowder. Ended up cleaning 13 crappie and 1 bass. Fried up some and restocked some in the freezer. Fishing around 10-12 feet in 20 FOW near hanging brush.
Just about forgot what these things looked like...
