Ranger, when you didn't do well South, where about were you? I haven't had any time to fish lately at our place around Arrowhead, but I've got some friends coming down this weekend and I just wanted to see if it is was going to be worthwhile to try. Watched a family on the bank Sunday and they never had any luck. The last time I fished was during Crappie Camp - using minnows and only the turtles were biting. When I tried jigs, all I got was 2 little bass.
Thank you,
Steve

Steve I was in Gaines Creek Sunday. EB and I fished it Wednesday and caught some fish all over. We didn't stash in any area long just moved around. I was looking for some fish for this last weekend for clients. The water had cooled 3 degrees and it was my observation they had moved off the flats. Now after the sun came out and it got hot yesterday I am sure they moved back on them. We did fish in the Arrowhead area the same day again looking and caught a few out of piles there.......Ranger

Thanks Mark for the information. I'm looking forward to trying some of the jigs we got in our "goodie bag". I still need to change out the cedars hanging under the dock. I was always under the impression those should only be changed out well before spawning season. But I've read several comments on the forum of new brush being put out now and fish moving in within a couple of weeks.

Steve I fished persimmon wood that EB and I put out Friday afternoon Saturday morning and they were holding bunches of crappie. They don't need to be there long if they are in the right spot to be magnets. Just goes to show you that if you build them they will come.....Ranger

Just don't go rolling down the rocks while moving the trees....it makes you sore enough without that...right Mark?

Ok I missed 2 fellers that did as much as we did Friday. Andy cpd21 and JD winger. Loud Mouth Andy you don't have to tell everything you know. Lol. What happens building woodpiles stays there lol. And yes I still hurt. Only when I move so it's getting better. At least the bleeding stopped.....Ranger
