Bob Brewer- short round guy with a constant sense of humor? For years we had Sunday dinner together before he moved away. I'll bet that's Richard and Elaine Hintze he is staying with. World keeps shrinking. My son will remember Bob when I remind him- he was a character back then, hard to forget. Sorry to hijack the thread guys! I'll throw that in before Reaper tells us to get a room!

I fished the enclosed dock on the 15th and the run and bite was way down. Got there at 6 in the morning and there were 6 people in there and by 10 there were 15. Not many big fish were caught at all and by 11 it was pretty well cleared out. Definitely not the big stringer's like last week, just a slow day. Oh well may'be next time.

That's the one. He's in town this week racing at the Chili Bowl.

Not as big a crowd with the weather so cold. There were only nine of us when we got there about 10:00. One guy had a limit and put a lot back. The others got 10 or less, some none. I kept a limit and put back quite a few. They were smaller on average, but there were a few 11 inchers. Brown/orange hair jig and all black worked great.

Elbow to elbow this morning. One guy tangled lines with three other guys on one fish. Everyone was patient though and everybody caught fish. Fishing was cold but good on the outside of the dock.

I just tried to picture 4 guys fishing for green carp- all tangled up and patiently working it out; especially when the bite was on! Couldn't picture it- we have a lot of nice folks in the crappie community. That was a nice post Bigsky which conjured up a vivid mental picture that we have all dealt with. Now if you had just mentioned how big The Tangler was my day would be complete.

Let me complete your day. Just to keep the interest up, it may have been a four pounder. Or maybe just a little less.

Too long for the scale on the wall. But I'd guess it was less then four feet. The untangling was almost as much fun as Steve and I trying to help a young boy catch fish yesterday. We even let him use our rods and gave him directions, but NG. Then he went to the other end and started hauling out slabs. We finally told him that we had figured out that he was Jimmy Houston in disguise. His grin looked just like Jimmy Houston's.
