The spoons that the guy from Wichita made are that style, but the tip of the blade was just even with the curve of the hook. The vinyl paint and coating made for a very bright color and a body that was a bit thicker.

Pscruggs. A shorter rod is a more polite rod when there is a large crowd. A guy with a 9 foot rod, who tries to fish along the edge, will take up three or more fishing spots and draw some negative looksThe outside toward the main lake has two rows of brush. A 13 foot rod will get you to the outside row. Sometimes there are more crappie on that row. Some guys cast out with their short rods and let their jigs "swim" back over the outside row.

I use a 10 ft custom inside when the crowd is lite. Then I use a 5 foot rod when the crowd gets heavy

I find the inside gets too crowded by about 5 AM. If I go early ( midnight) I'll fish the inside for a bit but always head outside before the crowd gets too big. I fish with a 6 footer so need the room the outside offers. I've got a 4 ft micro but never take it.

Hey Allen, ever thought about doing a little sleeping?

Thanks on the rod info,I mainly was thinking about the outside maybe 10 or 12 ft to reach brush.
