Nice catch but those look like white males that have the black enhanced due to the spawn. I say this because of the vertical bar pattern in them.

Kaw Lake 2014 report
Hit the lake today. Probably caught 50-60. Most 5-8".
Brought home 15.
All black males except for one white female.
Caught on lake fork sparkle silver body's on a 1/16th jig head suspended 2' under a bobber. Very slow retrieve. The lake was like glass today.

I fished Kaw yesterday too, except I was using 1/16 oz jigs with blue/white Bobby Garland shad. No bobber and bumping the bottom. Caught 12 nice keepers and only culled 2 fish. After the wind died down around 9:30, the bite slacked off a bit.

Killed em on Kaw today. On the bank and out to 12 feet deep. The spawn is full blown. I fished all over the lake half the spots I tried had fish. It was a great day to explore new places and find new spawning areas. Water temp was 62 to 73 depending on where you were at. Wardens were out checking licenses, he said lots of people had big stringers.

Had a liittle luck in the coves last night and Washunga area, Water temp was 68 I ended up with 17, 10 of them over a 1 LB.
