I also thought about going out there for a couple of hours this afternoon, if I can get thru some geezer chores first. I promised to meet a friend there tomorrow and thought of trying to find some fish first. Maybe I'll see you out there. I thought I saw a small Lowrance on your boat at the Gibson camp. Most everyone on here used 2D for many years and caught lots of fish. I still keep a 2D screen active on the boat. Sometimes it's all I need to get on fish. When I fished from a kayak I always used a small one like you have and it worked well for me. If I don't see you this afternoon, Good Luck.

Yeah I have a 4" on the back of the boat. I fish from the casting deck and it is a nightmare looking back at it. Not to mention the screen is tiny. It is better than no finder but I'm ready for more of a finder up front with me.

Wasn't nothin shakin but the leaves in the trees at the Bird today.

Well unfortunately I haven't had time to make it out there yet since its been getting cooler outside hopefully that will change, but probably won't till after deer season is over !! What can I say priorities first lol !! It shouldn't be to much longer before the female slabs start gorging their selfs for the next spring !! Good luck and good fishing to all !!

I was only out there 2.5 hours but that was enough for me. Not even a nibble! I double dipped trees and brush, cast and dragged brush, hit the dam rip rap and grates as well as did some dock shooting. I was moving quickly as there is no reason to get stuck in one spot begging for a bite.
