x2 on this year. Very disappointing. I've had better luck on the spawn when we were in a drought and the water was down 6'. The last two years have been pretty wet.
Anyone going out in the morning !!

White Bay Charger. Just got off the phone with a buddy coming over from BA. We should be on the water around 9. Don't catch'em all before we get there!

Let us know how you did.
Well I would have to say you couldn't have asked for a better morning on the water it was nice caught plenty of crappie threw back probably 35 or 40 lil guys and kept 21 anywhere from 13 inches to one of them being 17 inches all in all not a bad day on TBird
SNaylor, you are going to have to share your technique. I've fished T'bird for just under 30 years and I've never seen a 17" Crappie caught there. The largest that went into my boat was right at 15" and weighed 2.2 lbs caught in the Winter. When I fish anywhere and think they are 2 lbs or better they always get measured, weighed and a photo taken. I have caught a couple that approached 17" but not at T'bird. Maybe I should spend more time there but it's a dink lake for me.

There is no special technique just tight lining and I'm sorry about your luck on catching the great size crappie that thunderbird holds they are far in between but thunderbird does have a good population of slab crappie
I've never seen a crappie that big either at the bird. I don't care where your fishing at, 17" is picture worthy and probably weighed pretty hefty. I would love to see pics of one from this lake this size.
