I'm sure the bite was off yesterday due to the weather the last week. I would try dipping submerged trees, stumps, brush piles, etc.

Navy Okie the crappie are still biting along the dam from the rocks out to about 12 ft .reeling your jig very slow. Also by the bouys at the dam is what they call the grate where they release water, there is a structure under the water in the middle of the bouys that that is now about 6 ft down to the top of grate. You anchor up on top and fish down thru the grate. There is a ton of crappie caught there.Probably should have some minnows when you try this .Also the water is deep around the outside and inside of grate you will have to figure out how deep they are.Good Luck!
Minnows? Or jigs? I used a 1/32oz black with chartreuse tail and didn't even get a nibble....
Anyone tried these spots?

Anyone but me at Tbird today? Fished with my buddy from BA. Caught 43 crappie and 1 channel cat. With the exception of 4 crappie that were 11'' the majority of the rest looked like they came from an 8'' mold! Fished from about 1130 until 6
I'm headed to thunderbird for the first time tomorrow and bank fishing where would you recommend?
How did you do CC? I haven't talked to anyone along the banks this year that were doing as well as years passed.
Granted it's only one guy's experience but I've been fishing the bank of t-bird for goin on 5 years now and this has been the slowest spring-early summer I've seen. I had a few good days with a dozen fish over 10" and a few good saugeye but it never seemed to really blow up like it has in years past. I've actually been skunked on my last 3 trips out over the last 2 weeks. I hope things pick up again before the dog days set in cause that was too short of a season!
