The report : Fishing was pretty good met up with a buddy to wade a spot at portage. Caught around 50 crappie kept 24 between the 2 of us . on a variety of jigs&tubes white beetlebou & chartreuse beetlebou caught a good amount of fish today along with the trusty 1/64th jig 1 inch black Shad gulp. Well it’s cold wet and nasty outside. For some reason the powers that be at work decided to shut down yesterday when it was 60 and not raining that hard. But they want to work today when it’s cold and rain/sleet mix [emoji849][emoji52]. I want to complain but I won’t because the guy who’s in charge of production is new to his job and still learning. Heck the guy that used to have his job never shut down for rain & that was miserable. Guess I’ll just go in and take my beating.

Well I have today off and I'm looking at snowflakes falling outside my kitchen window as I'm making coffee and plotting my adventure for today. I'm hoping air temps come up a bit while I'm taking care of the running around I have to do this morning. I'll make sure I have plenty of plastics to try today.

Made it out today about 1:00 this afternoon. Fished a bay at a local lake till about 6:00 this evening. The bite wasn't great, but it was enough to keep you interested. No crappie wanted to play today, but the gills were there and fairly aggressive. Caught about 20 - 25 gills all on gulp minnows about 8 - 12" under a bobber. I did get to watch a Bald Eagle circle and drop down and grab it's self some dinner which was pretty cool. When the sun started going down the temp dropped like a rock. Tomorrow is another day.

Yep I was wading. The wind was mostly coming from the northwest yesterday so that played into where I went. Winds are supposed to be out of the south today and I'm planning on getting out also. Thinking of a couple of different spots also. Good luck out there today.Quote:
