Sweet its been a long time how have you been?
Good to see you back in the Pack...post up some good reports after you get out!
I'm Alive and Kickin'!
Fishing 1 eyed, but still fishin' when I can.
Getting real busy with Dale and getting him ready for High School football....The Sad Thing is, that I am enjoying watching his journey more than fishing right now!
Just so everyone knows...I will be gone for 3 weeks from the last week of June til July 18th...headed South to fish, then on to Daytona for a couple weeks.
This will be the last time that I have, to take a super long vacation with Dale and his buddy, since their High School Football careers are starting....this is gonna be an EPIC Southern Slam!lol
Good Fishing To All!

Little report- fished from shore at the nothern part of the lake and finished up at the dam. I got skunked at both.
Water temp: 52.5* F
Air temp: 37* F
Weather: Sunny, calm winds, clear skies
Water clarity: 1-2ft
Baits: 1/16th and 1/8th oz jigs, bobby garland baby shad and tubes tipped with crappie nibble
Depths: I tried depths from a few feet to around 20ish ft at the dam
No luck at either location. Little dissapointing but I figured the fish must still be deeper with the cold weather moving back in recently (that's the excuse I'm going with). Praying for warmer weather.

Good Spring to you Brent.
No need for stress yet Brandon!
The daggone fish are confused too...temps were 60ish and spawns were happening....the Shad, WB, Crappie, and Bass, were all getting ready. The last time out we saw shad moving females up in the rocks and turning them. Some of the Female Crappie were ready to burst and the female Private area was distended...then with the 20's the temps dropped drastically...spawns stopped immediately...then temps picked up alittle, now more cold and 20's at night....add warm water going in, high winds and 3 foot rollers, then snow and cold water going in...no wonder!
Gators will start feeding soon, they take time off because they are such brutal lovemakers...they'll be shallow during the day, feeding on shad trying to get a few degrees more of heat off the rocks...the Gators will stay shallow until the sun comes out...once the water warms into the 70's they head deeper and start mainly feeding at night. Everything else will slowly be starting the process over again when temps start stabilizing and rise!
The water will be stained from all the rain and the algae will bloom...start out with BRIGHT Neon colors...2.8" or 3" swing impact or swing impact fats in hi-vis pink and orange for Gators, 2-3" shad (easy Shiner) profiles in white for WB, and 2-2.8" swing impact or swing impact fat in Plain Chartreuse or bright combos of Chartreuse and White for Crappie. Bass for some reason like 2.8 -3.8 Fat swimmers in 1/2 white and 1/2 Chartreuse now also...I imagine they can see it good in the water since it contrasts so well.
