Went out with Crazy4crappie....Glow colors DO NOT work during the day, under bluebird skies.
The ENTIRE lake is full of these 2 inch shad...shad colors work well during the day and will coax a summer Gator....use silver shad, silver minnow, etc.
At about 5pm the lake transitions and glow colors work.
Water is 70 degrees, dark, and full of life!
Fish are pot bellied and picky!
2 completely different and separate bites from day to evening.
But, you can still catch fish!
Jeff's Gator was 26 inches, right over 7 lbs...he also had some Big Fat Crappie.

A nice gesture...this Saturday is the 2cnd attempt to do in the "Black Hole'...

No gesture...I believe that you only take what you need...if you aren't going to eat it, there's no sense to take what you catch...since I don't like "Warm water Fish", I just put anything back anyway...if you don't follow some Laws of conservation, you never will build the fishery.
PLUS, I'd like to see a 30 inch Gator again...that was a majestic fish!

Have to admit, would `settle` for a cold water 15" fillet GOLDEN brown and piping HOT with some home made hush puppies !
