Brown's Home Center in Hernando is the only place I found a plastic hose bib. 1/2" or 3/4" male pipe thread for about $4.
I've seen some barrel tops cut about half way so a filter can be hung on it better than the round edge.
Carl, did Gary just fix that filter for you?

Neither of the stores had a plastic or PVC hose bib.

Both stores have a PVC 3/4" ball valve threaded for $3.35, a PVC 3/4" close nipple for .51 or .44, A 3/4" brass hose adapter for $4.19 or $4.90. That's about $8 or $9 compared to the $4 hose bib that I don't have to seal 2 joints on.
Plus I'm supporting a small business instead of a big box store.

Lordy, that would be a long trip for me. Closest one is out past Mr. Jim's house.
I know that Southaven Supply and Hubbard's Hardware don't carry them.
