    Default Minnow tank

Seems like this year I had a good many unused minnows... I want to build a holding tank for the house. Hopefully one of a low maintenance design.. I have a plastic 55 gallon drum that I can cut in half to start. What do you have? Pictures? As simple and efficient as possible.. Tks

Every plastic barrel I've cut in half has folded, making an oval top. I cut the top out, not off of the barrel. It's shut down now, so easy pictures can be sent.
PM me with your cell phone number and I'll send you some pictures.

Knightshadow an easy fix for a minner box is one of them 35 dollar truck boxes from Wally World, got a lid and can put a drain in it pretty easy. I like it being black too, carried close to 100 dozen to Washington for the Crappie Masters Championship and think we lost 2 minners in 4 days out of it.

Do a search on youtube for homemade minnow tank............ You will get a lot of hits. Here is one just for an example........ Although the music is a tad corny.............

100 Gal stock tank. using a 2 filter aquarium filter setup with 2 aquarium air pumps. this tank has a screw in fitting middle bottom of tank. removed that, installed a PVC threaded fitting with a 1inch slip coupler, glued in 6inch piece of PVC then installed a PVC valve then a slip fitting threaded for a garden hose for draining. Got it sitting on two pieces of 4x4 to get off floor in my shop. Have kept up to 8 lb's of minnows this time of year.
