Yep--only problem I had on the Tahoe was the intake gasket leak that sent coolant into the oil. Put Felpro racing gaskets on it no more problems. The motor was great but the rest of that thing was crap. Tcase went out and traded it in for the explorer.
Yep think you are correct. You sure thats not every two weeks hahahaha.
On all my gasser vehicles I may change it once or twice a year--I never get in a hurry to--never have any issues. On this 6.0--that's a different story with the main reason being it uses high pressure oil (from 540 psi to 4000 psi) to operate the injectors (yep same oil that lubes the engine) so this thing will take a 40 oil and shear it to a 30 pretty quick--it is a fascinating engine for sure
Try the mobil 5w40 and let me know how you like it![]()
