So does insurance cover accidents while trailering, or do people just not insure a $20k investment? Never had to file a claim personally, but I am more worried about somebody hitting my boat or a road hazard than me hitting something in the lake.

I don't know if its true or not but someone told me that if it was hooked to your auto it would have to be covered, I would like to know also.

Some companies will cover it.....some won't....the ones that do cover it some will full replacement value......some will just cover up to a certain limit.
