It can be expensive to start up, but listen to the advice given and take it from there as you can. I agree on the EZT Pole Perch "Honeymooner" double seat. Good price and quality product. I also agree on the HiTek rod holders. Good price and quality product. As far as bait stations, lot of different good ways to go. I now have the 12v system and use a cooler and a dove bucket from Academy. Used Gorilla glue to seal the styro foam to the bucket and turned the styro lid upside down and glued it down. Cut a half moon out of it for access to the bait and for the air line. Frabill snap on lid too. I am partial to 14' BnM ProStaff rods and got them from Monks. There again there are good options around. Good luck and let us know what works for you.

I have done a lot of cat fishing on the rivers and keep 10 to 20 lbs of bait alive at a time with a few bubble boxes. Trick is bottled water frozen and well water. U can treat tap water if u have no means of well water. Like other people have said there's a ton of different routes but here's what i did. Took small flip top cooler, drilled hole in top, applied two sided Velcro to bubble box and color, ran hose through cooler and then to bubble box, added 2 D batteries that last 24 hrs to 36 hrs. Pretty simple and don't have to worry about the 12 volt thing.

And why did Rees just now convince you to start spider rigging? I got pics from all summer jk
you'll love it for sure--and don't forget the drift socks--biggest one's you can get.
Oh no you want the SpyderLoks, you need to fish with both before you buy. Also I would put down plates and not have a dang big ole seat holder all in the way.
One other thing is to get some baitcasters and leave the spinning reals alone, you will never regret it.

I prefer the SpyderLoks and I use the Dub L Seat made by Blacklandlure , on C.com. For reels, I just got 4 casting reels for $6.99 each from this place. http://www.fishingtackleliquidators....eel-rampr.html

Seat bases and use removable pedastals. For the most part you are rigging a boat for alot of different styles, most of the time you dont switch gears during the day but sometimes you do, needs to be easy. Will shoot you a pic of my set up, not that it is any better than anyone else's but it is what works for me.

Best advise there is is to get in some boats with folks and diffeent set ups and try them on for size.
    Set up to crank

Set up to spider rig, I use taller pedastals for this just too sorry to get em out

Set up to drive, I changed all of it up and took pics in about 4 minutes.

Good advice John......thats what I did......I fished in some and looked at others. A good time to look at different set ups is to look at everones boats at camp.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.
