The sugars and the caramel flavoring in the coke will sweeten the meat some and the coke will also make the meat tender.

If you watch closely, this time of year, Wally world and Lowes will have the two big bags of Kingsford shrinkwrapped together on sale, it is basically two for the price of one. Also Lowes has a good deal on the Cowboy brand lump charcoal

If you want a great steak. Hot tub it. Season your steak, then put in a vacuum seal bag (or 2 ziplock bags) , then into a crockpot on low, don't put the lid on it. Let it sit for 30 minutes or so before you grill it. It brings the internal temp up to about 100 degrees so all you gotta do it sear it as hot as you can get it for a couple minutes per side

I only cook my steaks a couple minutes per side anyway, I let them get to room temp before I put them on the grill.
    I got 350 heads on a 305 engine.
I get 6 miles to the gallon.
I aint got no good intentions.

Thanks for all of the input about the subject. This is what I did on the grill this afternoon. 14 oz. filet mignons and baked taters
