Ok, I got two answers. "Blind" and "growing popularity". That makes as much sense as the polers wanting the trollers poles limited because they are jealous of their catch.

He goes on to say "On Sardis, lowering the minimum size was expected to increase fishing pressure on the lake. The reductions in bag and pole limits were to prevent that increased pressure from harvesting too many fish."
To me, common sense dictates, that the pole limit would have been included in The Notice of Intent we met on 01/31/13 to discuss. Instead of being back doored through the MDWFP Commission eleven days later.
