Nobody is jealous.It's not the polers against the trollers.It's trying to protect the fishery.How would you set the regulations?Because keeping them the way they were will eventually led to a decline.And thinking there will always be plenty of fish is the wrong way to think.

Assistant Chief Larry Pugh writes "We are very aware of how good the Sardis crappie fishery is right now." He goes on to say "On Sardis, lowering the minimum size was expected to increase fishing pressure on the lake. The reductions in bag and pole limits were to prevent that increased pressure from harvesting too many fish."
To me, common sense dictates, that the pole limit would have been included in The Notice of Intent we met on 01/31/13 to discuss. Instead of being back doored through the MDWFP Commission eleven days later.
