Atm I pole fish 90% of the time and from being on here and see the amount of people that troll now,i would have to agree with the chief.I have come home empty handed pole fishing many times, but have never left empty handed trolling. The odds speak for themselves and with the simplicity of trolling and increase of people trolling something has to change.Sorry if offended some but you have to look at the big picture. And i'm not antitroller just see where this going.

ATM i hope you are right about the endless supply of fish.I have always said eventually crappie fishing will become like bass fishing and it's starting to happen.Think about the bass fishing on the big 4, used to be some of the finest. But now it sucks. We all talk about how it used to be,it will never be that way again.

And besides i'm not blaming anyone and not mad at all.I do both, but with the growing popularity something has to change.

I have seen pictures of limits of crappie from these lakes every year for 20 years. Talk of over fishing has been talked about every year as for back as I can remember but every year after year the fish are there. More people are fishing for sure but the limit use to be 50 per person and now it's 15. It's going to take a heck of lot of extra folks fishing to make up the difference in the limits alone. I use to have to wait in line to launch 10 years ago to. The reason for a few off years here and there are due to the Coe missing on the rule curves. Your buddy's use come by showing off coolers full of fish. Now with Internet more people just get to see them.

Biggest crappie to date is 3 lb 9 oz at grenada in 1988. Still hangs on my wall.
