    Default Is This The Beginning

Is this the beginning to less rods on all of the BIG 4 per person, I think so. I propose we get our crap together and figue out how to get our (trollers) voice heard before this gets out of hand. Dont have a clue where to start but we need to be finding out and have it together by fall. At this point Sardis and Genada are at 3 poles each with Butla and Enid being 5, maybe a compromise ot make em all 4 ay be in order, would be better than them lowering the all to 3, which I think is the next step unless we speak up.

I'm with ya John. Personally I'm not against 3, but it is a lot easier to remember 4 across the board, and you don't have to buy 5 poles got one lake and only use 3 on the other. It's a slippery slope. And I don't want to see it go down to 1 per person

Now that's what I'm talking about. And we don't need to wait till fall. We need to have this mistake corrected NOW. This change on Sardis WAS NOT based on biological data. It was based on public pressure.

There is a "meeting" that happens in December that is hush hush and where this crap started at
Grenada and now at Sardis, that was my reason for saying fall. We need to be at this meeting and stand our ground o it will be three or less on all 4. 90% of us are set up in 4s anyway.
Good link Chaney, we need to start calling now.
As far as econoically speaking would say that more of the out of state folks troll than do single pole but I may be mistaken about this.

There were a lot more complaints about Enid the last 2 yrs than Sardis.. They didn't change anything there.. I realize they wanna preserve the fishery but having 3 different regulations for 4 lakes is ridiculous..

I say lets go for 5 or 6 poles. Do t give an inch. We're not wrong. And John you're right. Short if it whizzing off the governor it ain't gonna get changed until the next go around this fall/winter. It just infuriates me they ignore the biological data and respond to public pressure. The science is on our side.

Ask for 6 for sure. Ms Bowhunters Assn has been fighting a battle that is much the same and if we dont get our crap together we will be run over.
Who spends more money on their hobby, hell my trolling motor cos than alot of single-polers spend. And if you just look at a daily basis the trollers spend WAY more day in day out.

Single-polers I mean no offense to you, I luv it as much as anyone but I also luv to fish year round and like to troll.

Help a new guy out here...if they've established a limit on the number of fish...why does anyone care how many poles you use to get the limit? 15 fish...is 15 fish...no matter how you caught them. What is the argument being used to reduce the number of poles?
