If all the guys on here who are old enough to remember and did any Bass fishing back in late 70's and early 80's. It was Sardis that everyone in this part of the country fished at the time. All the pressure that was put on the lake and the complaining resulted in the slot limits being placed on all 4 lakes. Excuse was to preserve the fishery. Actually hurt it because most never kept any fish anyway and resulted in a lake full of small fish. That particular fishery has never really gotten back to what it was back then. Don't have any idea how this is going to affect us in the long run but I am all for conservation done the right way. My belief is there is more politics than conservation involved in this particular deal. As ATM and Rees have said we need to figure out how to make our voice heard before it's to late.

That statement by the Warden that 3 poles would slow people down from getting their limit,going home and coming back and getting another is Ridiculous . If it was that easy to get a limit with 5/10/15 poles Feelay, John Woods and others would be done by 10 AM every day. I'm sure they wish they could get 2 half day trips in every time they took out customers instead of one. That's not to say it dosnt happen at times but to believe it happens all the time and can be done by just anyone with a bunch of poles ain't happening. I'm a testament to that. I'll be lucky to get my limit of 15 just make my 10 or 12 sound better. ok I'm through with my Rant now.

I propose no trolling at arkabutla and hammer the chit out of the other lakes

OK, baby steps. I have been on the phone with a contact that has been dealing with this kinda situation for a very long time. I will call in the morning and find out when the next meeting of the commision is and get on the ajenda (SP) to share our concerns. this will be a week day and I will need 15 or 20 folks with me. They will not act on our concerns at this time but will get us lined up to be back when they make decisions about changes such as we have just seen. Its a long had row to ho and it will be a continuous one but I a in if yall are.

Let me know when, I can take a day off. If we need signatures, we have the DSU biology dept that I know a bunch of outdoorsman in, not to mention quite a few outdoors society members at state and ole miss.
