now would be a good time to check trailer bearings, lights, tires and such. Also just did a water pump on a 60 mercury and noticed some mono hanging out from behind prop. Removed prop and line had actually cut a pretty good groove in output shaft. Also take off prop on trolling motor and check. A few minutes of preventive maintenance will save you some down time and headaches.

Yep, been doing mine. Another tip that has become a habit with me is to check all along for heat at the dust caps. Just simply reach down and feel the dust cap on your hubs when you get to the ramp, if they are getting hot then there is a problem.

Did mine a couple of weeks ago.
With this rain, it would be a good time to get the boat in the shop and give it a good going over.
I have several trailers I need to do some PM on.
I need to go to the lake this weekend and put some new line on them as well.
It's CRAPPIE season!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
