Yes and yes, when fishing alone 3 poles sux, period end of story. When fishing 2 folks it is alot better as far as locating and finding a pattern.

Why not suggest to them that when there's 1 person in the boat, set it at 4 poles and then for each person on the boat, add 2 poles? That'd be 6 for 2 people and 8 for 3 people. a Compromise

Grenada has a 3 pole limit, in place since 2007. MDWFP says, "Fall samples from 2012 showed that Grenada has one of the healthier crappie populations of the 4 lakes". DD, you know folks catch big crappie on Grenada because no one ever talks about it.

The argument is not about the pole limit DD. The argument is that the commission gave biological facts to support changing the regs to 10 inch and 15 fish and then back doored everyone with 11 inch, 15 fish and 3 poles. If this is a needed measure then great but why was this not the initial proposal given their findings? This is an argument about right and wrong much more so than about 3 or 5 poles.

Good idea, after reading an email a little while ago change may be hard pressed at this point, for now anyway.

Why not implement this rule on all of the big four then? And because no one talks about it, lolololololo!! Grenada is only the number 1 crappie lake listed in the United States every year with huge national tournaments held on it but no one talks about it????? Wow

I personally wish the State weould make a slot of 10-16 inches with 3 over and 3 under the slot, then make it 20 fish on every lake. Well, that and actually check your dang livewell on barnett. Sick of folks catching the limit, getting someone to pick up their limit and going back

Just out of curiosity, did they not have a meeting about this BEFORE the regs were changed? And how many of y'all showed up? 2, I believe? And NOW everyone wants to say something? Isn't that kind of like not voting at the presidential election, then AFTER Obama gets elected, all those who failed to vote starts rioting in the streets and calling the congressmen??? And maybe I have misinterpreted, and if so I apologize, I just find it amusing that no one saw fit to do anything BEFORE this all took place, but rather waited until after the deed was done. Kinda like watching a house burn down, then grabbing the fire extinguisher. In any case, good luck, but if I'm understanding correctly, if y'all wlda put forth all this effort BEFORE the regs were changed...well, I'm sure SOME of you get the idea. Just sayin.
