The funny thing about this whole thread is that on each side of the arguement the people are never happy with the regulations. If you know more than the experts then please do us all a favor and apply for their job. Until then just enjoy what god has provided for you.

Ive read this whole thread from start to finish and that was a chore. "G" said it best on page 13.....You guys in Mississippi have the best crappie fishing in the world, especially trophy crappie fishing. I havent been down there in 9 years but hope I can some day but its a long haul from Kansas City to the Big 4. I first fished there 30 years ago and its still the best on earth. there have been alot of good points made by everyone and alot of BS also. I hope whenever I do come down I catch some slabs but more than anything its to put the faces with all the names I've been reading about for the past couple of years. I hope everyone enjoys what the good lord gave us. P.S. Wannabe is a Gewber.

No it doesn't. Six days, 160+ posts, 3700+ views and you are the only one to conclude that. Heck, actually, even you don't conclude that. At the end of your response you conclude it was my own opinion.

    Default Sardis Rod Limit

Someone please explain this to me cause I guess I'm as dumb as the day is long.

The wildlife folks conducted studies this year and came to the conclusion per their recommendations that for a period of one year they should change the regs on Sardis to 10 inch and 15 fish. After the year they would reevaluate and go from there.

They then had a public meeting to discuss these changes and explain them. During this meeting of their findings the meeting turned from an informational meeting to one of bitching about fishing styles.

After this meeting folks had a time frame to suggest any new suggestions to the commission regarding the changes and after this period the commission implemented an 11 inch 15 fish 3 pole rule with no further discussion.

Now this is what I want you to explain: When the commission had all data available to make an informed decision (10 inch 15 fish) then how in hades did they go to 11 inch 15 fish 3 poles. In my mind its simple: they based the decision on public opinion and not the original scientific data they used in their initial findings which I find comical. If this is the case in the future please quit doing fish studies and we will just all show up and whoever cries or moans the most will get their way on any new regs. Just my 2 cents and I'm sure that's all some of you will think its worth.
