It may also have to do with the size of Sardis as compared to the others. It may in the long run create a trophy crappie lake! How is the shad population in Sardis?

What is the life expectency of crappie at Sardis?IN at least 3 years, crappie would reach legal size as would all the crappie spawned from those fish as they are reaching legal size during those 3 years. You would be throwing back anything under the 10" limit.A lot of guys are after the larger crappie, 12" plus and probably would continue to fish for them only to keep 15.Do you want 15 dinks or 15 slabs??It's your choice!

    Default Sardis changes

It used to be 30 ten inch fish a man and it never seemed to hurt nothing so why would half that limit hurt anything.

The crank baiters will be happy with this change. Summer is the time for 100 shorts to 5-10 keepers. I bet the summer revenue has been way down in Panola County. Lots of folks, including myself quit Crankin cause it was to much work and sweat for 5 fish in 100+ degree weather.

Should have waited another month on the house bill. Real estate will go way down at Sardis now lol

If the county revenues go up, so does the property values, especially if the fishermen return in big numbers. ;-)
