You talking a 3rd center float, or a smaller float on each side?

If a 3rd center float, another 10' of 12" would add about #230 of actual (about #460 initial) capacity.

If an additional smaller float along the 12" duals, 2-8" floats would do about the same, just slightly less.

Too small to worry about, and I ain't seen anyone where I fish boarded by a CG Vessel yet. Register it (since it will be motorized) and fish. Not sure about here, but IN just requires an inspection by the local PD before it can be assigned HIN numbers.

don't quot me on this i think only has to be coast guard certified if carrying people for hire but home maid boats need to be registered local conservation officer fill out a form can get that dun
