Sat. Ima scare ya. I know exaxtly what hes talking about n i checked that. When i put it in saktwater.i washed it at a carwash for about 10 minutes. I hose it down real well n even fill the inner hull with water to clean it thouroughly. Ive checked every wire that has to do with the batteties n found no problems. It was working fine.n batteries were holding up great a month ago when i was fishing n it just cut off.

Is your motor hard to remove? If not take it off and hook it to someone else's, if it works rewire

Or just move all your batteries to the front deck and make up a short connection directly to the trolling motor. Somebody close please go help him!

Ok Don, I'm going to try this. If you have 3 fully charged batteries and you have something that would drop it to 5 or 6 volts with good wiring connections and wire something would be getting really hot or your circuit breaker would trip. Your reading 36 with your meter but you have some wiring that has broken down somewhere in your run. It dosnt take but a couple of wires to be making connection for you to get reading with meter because it requires so little amperage to make the meter work, as soon as you have any real draw its going to drop off. Like Rip said un hook motor wiring and wire it straight to batteries.

Just thought of something else. Disconnect your breaker and wire direct to battery and try it. Your breaker could be corroded internally..

Don said he has it wired direct.....no circuit breaker.....he needs to rewire with new wire and install a breaker at the batteries
