You have a wireing problem then.... either a poor connection or bad wires....exposure to salt air or salt water will do it....washing down the boat with bleach will do it ......your wires will corrode inside the insulation.....the wire turns green and will not conduct properly.

OK....you got me confused.....are you saying you have the TM disconected at the TM then read 36 volts and when you put the TM on it the voltage drops? if so then you have a TM problem......You have to measure your voltage at the furthest point away from your batteries....which would be at the TM with the TM disconnected....this is the only way to properly check to determine if its a wireing problem or a TM problem.

It is at the furthest point. I cut the wires from the batteries. Then when i check the end of the wires from the batteries it reads 36 volts. When im holding the leads on the wires to the battery n reading 36 volts n touch the wires from the TM to them it drops to about 5 volts. Plainest i can explain it

U think u got good connections but u ain't. To wires are corroded. Redo every connection u got the right way with corrosion inhibiter or imma call u ignernt.

Is the TM on when you test this? If so it could be in the motor. If not could be between the Bat leads and the TM leads, Does the prop turn okay? If you try to turn it with 1 finger it should turn freely but you should be able to feel the resistance of the brushes on the armature.

Probably best to ask over on the Front page...Electronics board. Or you could send theelectronic wizard CanePole a PM and ask him.
