Hopefully that is not directed at me, I don't have an issue with the committee or the tournaments...just learned from doing it this past year that it is not for me. That includes MCC....I'm more interested in fishing for fun n learning....as I said before, didn't mean to offend or step on toes...

I have only fished a couple of these, and my main complaint is I can not catch enough to beat you guys. Y'all be bad!!! Whoop whoop!
I have not heard any of the specifics on what happened this weekend, but from what I gather by reading these threads the right call was made, and the offender handled it the absolute best way he could.
But mistakes have been made in the past and I know of one team that placed "in the money" at one of these FJ's, but the got bumped by teams with less weight. It was not a big deal since it was not the winning weight and it was not much money involved.
These are supposed to be for fun, and bragging rights on the board. So if everyone will keep that in mind I think things will work out.

Rees, you're getting bent out of shape over following the rules. If I learned anything this weekend was you don't always get to make the rules, but you gotta follow them.

Since I don't work, I will even volunteer to go get all the COE permits and clarify what they expect of us. Just say the word.
I appreciate your offer to help. However, the other Lake Managers have already told me/us that we don't need permits at their lakes. Thanks.

yikess, I think we do what the COE requires. They run the lake. I think if they are able to right a ticket. We make them happy. If I understand the rules properly the COE says 7 fish in a tournament, MDWFP says 20. We go with the lesser of the two numbers.

No problem Major. I'm always willing to help. I remember you posting or saying something about the Lake Managers. What did the Arkabutla Lake Manager say about the permit?
