Because when he said we didn't need it we had to keep it hush hush. We couldn't post anything about it. We had to communicate about it in PM's. Etc. Help me out here, I can't remember all of the details. Obviously someone thought we were doing something underhanded. I think we should insist on getting the permits. Since I don't work, I will even volunteer to go get all the COE permits and clarify what they expect of us. Just say the word.

Doing this is a lot bigger job than you may think it is and I do it to help you guys. That being said.........I like seeing all of you and I love the camps but....two per year is all that I can handle. I help Ed on the site and that is a lot more work than you can imagine. Notice all of the boards are spam free and not like the were a couple of years ago.....thats because I screen all the new member applicants and catch the spammers before they can get in here. I screen and approve around 35 to 50 new members everyday. I do this to help Ed and to help you guys. So...... having additional camps would be a bit too much on my part. Now....that being said.....although I do not fish the FJ's I enjoy keeping up with all of you on them and I personally feel like you have a good thing going and also a good set of rules. It saddens me to see my friends fussing over a glitch or two along the way and a rule being enforced. From where I sit it looks to me like nothing is broke here and I don't think it needs fixing. I think everybody just needs to try to respect each other and get along. We should be like one big family here....like brothers and sisters because thats how its mean't to be.
G, I was not trying to create more work for you, or anyone else. It was an idea I had to throw out n see if it stuck. If I understand correctly, everyone is happy with the tournaments, n if that is the case, great. I will not be fishing tournaments in the future, and was looking for an alternative. Sorry if anyone got offended.

This is the last I will say on this....let the committee work through all these problems.....thats what they are here for. PM them or give them a phone call with your input and let them work it out. Don't do it on a public forum.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

I agree with ATM. The rules are the rules. If we are required to have a permit, then to ABIDE by OUR rules, we should buy one!!!! Big River Marine will pay for Two of em next year!

I love fishin the FJ's, and the time spent with my friends!!!!!

Rees, check your pm's. I've returned your PM to me dated 03/14/12. Maybe this will jog your memory. Surely you're not getting upset with me suggesting we enforce the rules. After all the debate, I think everyone will agree we would be better off if all the rules are followed. Personally, I think the rule we will follow all laws, rules, regulations, etc. is a good rule to have.

No I am done being upset, We did pm the info but it was still all over this board and another, big whoop. I will not fish COE lake tourneys in this capacity, gladly fish the charity one at Enid but I am dead set against the COE trying to enforce a creel limit in which they have no right to do. The creel is set and enforced by the state and they have no rite to do so, we as a group do not meet the criteria of an event but was willing to jump through a hoop or two the get the Butla tourney in the loop and done how they want us to do it, but you cant leave well enuff alone, life is to short and I dont like throwing my fish back no ways. Thanks a million, I wont have to do that now if I ever catch any.
    Peace out, yall have fun.

ATM how do you suggest we address a situation where the COE and the MDWF don't agree? i.e the 7 fish limit during a tournament thing. Should we seek an attorney?
