Columbus adventure
Well the twins had been bugging me to let em fish a tournament, so off to Columbus we went. Rained the whole way down there, but we managed a couple hours on the lake Friday afternoon. Only caught one little crappie pre-fishin', so I wasn't exactly optimistic. Hit a stump so hard on the way in, it sprung the latches on my cowling and knocked it completely off. Fortunately, no damage was done.
Minner invited us over to his house fer a steak dinner and I can tell ya it was fine! Met Mrs. Minner...Lets just say the boy married way, way up. Thumbs Up
Tournament day was cold and breezy. We caught lots of small bass, large gar and catfish, but couldn't find any crappie. Minner gave us directions at 1 pm to where he was and we finally caught 4 or 5 small ones.
I decided to forgo the weigh in and let my boys practice loading the boat on the trailer. They did pretty well, but this attempt resulted in a dented trailer fender.
