Be sure and put a new winch strap on it .......no need of taking any chances a bow safety chain is always a good idea also in case the strap breaks
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

I have a qurestion. If you have the transom tied down tight and secure and the bow strap breaks, where are you expecting the bow to go?
