Like Maj...I have been studying about these trolling motors. I have talked to a lot of people about them and some like the PowerDrive some swear by Terrova. From all the info that I have gathered etc.....I think the PD would suit my ways of fishing better than the Terrova.....But the jury is not out yet I am still asking questions and doing a lot of thinking.

OK , Maj....here are some pics of the MinKota Deck Hand......The winch part is mounted to the floor of the boat using lag screws and the anchor davot is mounted to the metal front platform with sheet metal screws. I have a Anchor mate on the back of the boat. I have a Dual-Pro XL two bank charger 6 amps per bank. I have one bank hooked up to my cranking battery and the other hooked up to my trolling motor battery. If you are going to have two trolling motor batterys...then you will need to get a three bank charger.

Thats SE Sport High Performance Hydrofoil. Its a stabilizer basically....it allows me to run slow without my bow sticking up in the air so I can see better....It also makes for a better hole shot and helps me get on plane quicker, and it really helps stabilize and control the boat in tight high speed turns. It also helps prevent cavitation and it will also help you save fuel. I have had one on every boat that I ever had. I like them.

Looking at pics of the new ones in BP catalog and wondering if it could be used with trol-a-matic plate as well.

I don't think you can use one with a trolling plate.....but I did see a combination stablizer and trolling plate somewhere the other day...it was either in the Cabelas catalog or BPS not sure.
