I consider myself to be a reasonable (most of the time) person and a generous person. We have donated to relief charities for the Harvey relief but I think the gas retailers in my area have taken advantage of this tragic situation.

I told my breakfast buddies and wife that the hurricane would effect refineries in the gulf and gas prices would come up a bit so we all filled up our vehicles as the storm was hitting Texas. Gas prices when I filled up were $2.02 for 87 octane. The next day they jumped to $2.28 then to $2.39. There is no way the prices should have jumped that much. A breakfast buddy hauled gas all over the country as a long haul driver and he says our gas here comes for northern refineries and not those south.

I know I have no choice but to pay the prices but I feel this is just another example of under-the-table price gouging.
