Price of gas was about 20 cents when I was a youngster. A person could buy a new pickup well equipped for less than 2000 dolla. Well equipped meant it had a heater and an AM radio. Hey, an "air bag" was a politician. What happened to those good ol days?

Up to $2.49 here this afternoon. News says national average increase is 25 cents. Guess we should feel special since it is up 47 cents in 4 days.

Here's a little something to chew on, here in Central Florida seen $2.69 / gal coming home, it's been around $2.30 for a while before the Texas hurricane, the twist is Central Florida get's ethanol shipped from Brazil to Seaport Canaveral as well as other shipments from around the world.....only thing coming from the Gulf is Natural Gas Hope those cashing-in have a small part of their heart to give back to those in most need now.

Take the pill, and swallow it whole. We'll provide the fuel to you, just suck it up for a while.

Here in Eastern,KY $2.69. The thing is we have a refinery with in 50 miles from where I live. Our gas prices is always higher than everyone else. Go figure.

I remember the day I was driving from Norfolk to Ga on Hwy 301 (no interstate back then) and bought gas for 9 cents a gallon. One of those price wars going on.
