Good to know you got 'er done and are doing good and not in as much pain now. The therapy is the key thing now the more you do the better and faster the progress will be altho I know it's tough(hurts). Before you know it you will be back on the water catching a boat load of crappie. Good luck with your new bionicknee.
Be safe and good luck fishing
Had right one done 3 years ago getting ready to do left one June the first. The one thing besides doing the therapy is try to keep your foot pointing strait if not and you let it lay to the side it will end up with your foot pointing out

Just an update on the knee replacement I had done on 5/19/15. I had suffered for years with arthritis of the left knee. It got to the point where I couldn't do anything I loved without a lot of pain, limping etc. I avoided lot of fishing, hiking, camping, and even simple things like shopping, because it was just too painful. I put off the replacement because I had a lot of fears and concerns, and because I am a chicken about surgery. Well, I finally got it done and for the first couple of weeks I thought I had made a big mistake. Then after a lot of therapy and work, into the third week it all started coming together. Now I couldn't be happier. It's like a miracle. People tell me that it takes about a year for it to feel as good as it will get. It's only been 10 weeks, and if it never got any better than it is now, I'd be happy.
Fortunately, I have good health insurance which made a big difference. And I understand the financial concerns. But if any of you are needing a knee replacement, but have been putting it off because of fear or what have you, I would say to you to get it done and get your life back.
Good for you! I am glad it's working out and I thank you for sharing your experience as well as all the rest of you who chimed in with your support and experience. Many of us are older and it gives a level of comfort to know we all face many of the same things, to hear how you handled it, and to know you made it through it. A great group of people!
