I've been using this app for a couple of weeks now and find it works very well for counting calories. I do believe, tho', that the credit it gives you for exercise is vastly overstated. I base that on what gym exercise machines tell me and compare it to the app. So, I ignore the "net calories" and count the exercise credit only as a bonus. I generally bike about 65 miles a week. My caloric allotment is 1500 daily and I usually stay under that (did go over once with an 11oz prime rib but only slightly because I eat mostly low caloric fresh vegetables.) I started at 226 and have been losing about 1 1/2 lbs a week. My goal is to be at 185 by the spawn. I have no problem wanting more food as long as I stay away from bread. If I eat one piece I'll be hungry all day. I wish I could just cut out sweets but I did that years ago. I drink only unsweetened coffee and tea, water, and only club soda. When I quit Cokes several years ago I went from 260 to 230 quickly and felt better to boot.
I highly recommend this app for counting calories but you have to be honest in your count. I find this is much easier than when I cold turkey'd cigarettes 35 years ago. At 72 I'm trying to beat my grandpa (a real geezer) who made it half way thru his 90's and was still fishing when he went. I'm 6'3" btw.
