no1son. You are the only person that has a picture of himself in his avatar. I guess you think you are special, good looking, or something.
Well, I'd held hopes there was one that hadn't OD'd on the Kool Aid, I stand corrected.
I don't waste my time, or breath on those who can't (won't) see the light. Enjoy your Barrytopia HLL.
i find it ironic that folks of a particular mind frame feel its paranoid to own a particular firearm, or practice their right to carry a firearm concealed......also find irony those same fplks feel its the governments place to protect humans from themselves, after all they are (government) extreemly trustworthy, run programs such as social security so well, and can spend less money than they take in......seems like alot of regurgitation of what a particular political party expects its followers to believe is being posted with out much regard to forming an actual unbiased opinion or thought......If government intervention is your solution to moral questions you strongly need to rethink where you seek your answers from.

If you didn't enjoy debating this issue you wouldn't be on this thread and you also know it doesn't matter how you present your argument you can't change the mind of someone whose opinion might not be lock step with yours, other than different opinions this thread would have never taken on the life that it has... You have a nice evening.
I have fired a BAR. It is awesome. I have fired a M14. It is awesome. I have fired a Thompson. It is awesome. I don't owe any, but I do not begrudge anyone owning them and I understand the urge to shoot them.. Shooting the BS can be more devastating that a BAR. Just look at the BS shot from from washington. BS bombs from the top down.
Our govt is the biggest gun runner in the country. Headed by U no who. The hypocrites should try listening and living by their own BS.
Why doesn't OBAMA disarm the Secret Service first as a show of good faith? Why can he have armed guards to protect him and his family but expect us not be armed and protect ours?
Well, Earl. You don't mind if I call you Earl, do you? Well, Earl, it's because Barry considers himself and his to be much more important in the grand scheme of things than you and yours or me and mine. He wishes to be KING and his bloodline mush endure.
LONG LIVE THE KING!
This debate about "gun control" is NOT about guns, but all about CONTROL. The constitution is being attacked and if the 2nd ammendment is taken which one will be next. How are the laws that are being passed going to be enforced. The only way is to come into our homes and search and seize them and is there not an ammendment that protects us from that? I am not saying whether I have guns or not. Let those who want to find out come and see if I do.
thats one thimg your not looking at, a stae militias was every able body man in a town , that means every one should own guns and be ready to be called up to defend the rights of all
The gun grabbers have hit a snag. It's called "vulnerable Senate Democrats":
Vulnerable Senate Democrats balk at Obama
And I always thought it was the Republicans who stood in Obama's way. :biggrin

Do you guys seriously believe the government is threatening to come to your house and gather up your guns? I haven't seen anything in this new attempt at changing the gun laws that says they are coming to your house and taking your guns, they do seem to be threatening to control certain guns and magazines but I believe your deer rifles, shotguns and handguns aren't included in this... Whether anything at all will happen remains to be seen, I don't think anything is set in stone, as far as I know anyway... I don't expect them to come and get my 22 because if they do I won't have anything to dispose of a stray dog now and then and I'm not looking forward to trying to do that with a kitchen knife.
its not that im worried about them showing up to take my guns , but i am worried about them taking away any of my rights just as you should be . there are lots of things out there that i dont do but will protest if they try and take away from you ill stand up for your rights why is it so hard for you to stand up for mine
For one time I have to agree with Moonie

I am not against you keeping your guns.
I am not against you keeping your guns.
I am not against you keeping your guns.
I am not against you keeping your guns.
I am not against you keeping your guns.
I don't know how many times I have to say that... I am not an avid gun owner, I use to hunt a bit but don't anymore and feel the same as you guys do in as far as the second amendment goes, I do believe some of you are a bit paranoid as far as self defense goes and as far as standing up against our government with personal firearms, if it comes to that, me, you and anybody else that has an AR-15 or any other personal weapon is going to lose that fight as a battle tank is going to come out on top.
Sounds like the current administration :Rofl
Spoken like a true Fudd. Don't worry, they day will come they'll want yours as well. Then it'll be too late to wished you'd have learned a little more, and done nothing a little less.
Virginia Lawmaker Brandishes AK-47 on House Floor | ABC News - Yahoo!
Link the picture, what is he doing wrong? You can find it in the chat link if you don't know. Isn't DC a gun free zone for this kind of firearm? So who's going to arrest him! This is the second time it's happened.
They arrest him, they better arrest David Gregory.
I think all the gun owners in America could probably win against our military. Too many folks to fight , tank or no tank
Wasn't in DC

A Virginia state lawmaker brandished an AK-47 on the floor of the State House of Delegates Thursday.
Commonwealth as per Wiki-Quote:
“A lot of people don’t know that in many locations in the commonwealth, you can take this gun, you can walk in the middle of Main Street loaded and not be in violation of the law,” Morrissey said on the floor, according to the Examiner, assuring other lawmakers that the gun was not loaded.
There's that irony thing again, as it's now evidently "common good" to ignore (and violate) the US Constitution.Quote:
Commonwealth is a traditional English term for a political community founded for the common good. Historically, it has sometimes been synonymous with "republic".
Pox, please choose your words carefully..............if nothing else, for the benefit of this thread.

The road to reinstatement has been set for Del. Joe Morrissey - Richmond Progressive | Examiner.com
Morrissey takes fight for law license to Va. State Bar - Richmond Times-Dispatch: News: p, news, local, henrico_county, militaryQuote:
After being stripped of his law license over eight years ago, Del. Joe Morrissey could be on his way to regaining his license after the VA Supreme Court ruled on Friday that restoration was possible if Mr. Morrissey meets certain conditions.
Del. Morrissey will have to prove that he’s completed 60 hours of continuing legal education over the previous five years as well as pass the written segment of the VA State Bar exam, according to the split decision by the VA Supreme Court.
Quote:
Morrissey's long and complicated disciplinary record as a defense lawyer and prosecutor included highly publicized fights, jailings and disbarments.
Take special note of where his thumb is in relation to the weapons trigger (the old guy next to him takes notice).........and these idiots are making our gun laws?

do you think the founding fathers thought that when they saw a british man of war , i will stand up for my rights with a stick and go up against a battle tank if need be, you dont bow down to them, you sound like you would just hand over your rights instead of defending them

I do certainly hope you don't sacrifice your voting privileges believing that, our vote is the only effective weapon we have against government intrusion into our lives... Even if that were true, my and your life would be totally destroyed and our families would no longer be safe in their everyday lives... If our government were to turn against it's people, it is likely our country would be under threat from other countries that don't care much for us now.
--
Fighting the war you are talking about would not require a weapon of any kind as it would be totally useless in that situation... If our government comes after us, the only hope we have is if the military refuses to carry out whatever orders they might be given... I seriously doubt you would stand your ground against a grizzly bear wishing to do you harm, if you had a viable defense against said grizzly bear you might take a chance and stand your ground but if you had none it is unlikely you would try, you would have no chance against the military.
I stopped at my local bank today and mentioned the (no firearms allowed on premises sign) to the bank teller,A young lady just starting a family. Her reply was,,That is one of the dumbest thing I have ever saw,a robber can bring any kind of firearm into a bank but an honest person with a legal concealed carry permit has to leave theirs at home,,That sign is not going to protect anyone here.she said that a person with a concealed carry gun is not what we are concerned about. Its those crooks and lawbreakers that we have to worry about, that sign is not going to protect anyone from that,,But who is going to listen to us?? Plus a few other remarks that I can't post

I actually stand corrected in this situation, saw a video some time back and was under the impression that an assault weapon and an assault rifle were the same thing and was defined as a fully automatic weapon... Am not and have never been a gun enthusiast, shotguns, hunting rifles and handguns are the only guns I ever owned or had a desire to own.... Some of us were described as 'fudds' I believe the term was and am not sure if that was meant as an insult or not but if the shoe fits I'll have to wear it... It does not however change my opinion that some of you guys add a lot of strain in your lives by your need to be in the self defense mode all the time and believe your paranoia is not good for your health in the long run.
Hillbilly-Ask to be shown which State or Federal Law prohibits it, then when they can't produce one, ask if they would like you to find a new Bank.

I'm not really sure whether or not you believe our voting privileges are the only defense against a suppressive government, if you do not then maybe the original concept of our country isn't exactly your cup of tea either... I believe anybody that is concerned about the direction our country goes votes.
I'm not really sure you think voting is the same now as it was when this Country was formed, and that the gov we have now isn't "suppressive".
You're TOTALLY confused in comparing what we have today in relationship to the "original concept" you mentioned.
Please refer back to head in sand pic.............
I bet you don't see a problem with needing a background check to purchase a gun but not to vote?
