I don't. And just so you don't try to claim I'm taking it out of context, felons have nothing to do with gun control. Should a 1st time drunk driver be denied his DL the rest of his life? Those decisions should depend on the crime. Take a life (in either case), then no. Not every convicted felon committed a violent crime.
So, you weren't aware the AWB expired (1994-2004)? Seriously? Congress let it expire.
When the doorbell rings I answer the door, all has been ok so far, when I want to go to town I don't take my gun with me, all has been ok so far so paranoia as far as self defense goes doesn't interfere with my everyday life.
