That is the one crime that police officers always "solve", whatever the legalities involved. It also pays to remember that officers almost never enter a house alone. So you gotta cap at least two of them or the second will certainly get you in "self-defence". And in most cases that will be the only justification he needs. Your relatives will play hell trying to get it taken any further, but by then it won't matter to you anyway. When they have to force an entrance, they do it with guns out, too. They come in ready for trouble, trouble they are trained to handle besides.
The Indiana law is just one more wasted legislative effort, more essentially meaningless paper.
