The tool shacks were always in on it and after an hour or so they would come back worried because everyone was out. We would rip them a little before letting them on the joke. Worked almost every time.
Danny when i was in the Navy we would send the new guys over to the hanger next door to borrow a roll of flight line or a bucket of prop wash lol
