We might be able to join you, but we may be in Morgan City. I will check and let you know. Going to a family party and it may be the 15th. If not we're in. I even know a place you would like. The best shrimp and corn soup ever.

A&M is playing in the Music City Bowl again this year. Louisville this time, was hoping for Ann's Alma Mater Virginia Tech. The bowl system is now at 40 games which is ridiculous. There are some teams playing each other in the same division, and also some with losing seasons playing (which I can't understand). I believe it's time to put a bind on this. On top of that, the major playoff games (as well as the championship) are on ESPN - not the networks. They're assuming the general population pays for cable television/satellite I assume.

    Default Economy 2015/2016

We had our "Town Hall Meeting" today at work to discuss the coming 2016 year, with respect to the oil business. We were informed that we have now officially met the point where this down-turn is the worst seen in the history of oil. We have surpassed the low mark of the mid 1980's.
If we don't book something looks like I just might be officially retired after March of 2016.
I have been going to the same place for work for 35 years. My truck does not even need my help in getting there. I goes by itself. I am afraid of how I will handle for the first time since I was a junior in high school (44 years) not having to get up and go to work.
I can't leave now; They fixen to turn on.

Well, that is because most of the population has ESPN. They don't assume it, they know it. You probably have ESPN on computer.

Chris sorry to hear that but look at the upside, you have more time to go fishing now!

After 13 years of retirement, I can't remember what it was like to work. I still operate cranes and backhoes in my dreams but I can't remember getting a paycheck
in my dreams. Still love the sound of a train whistle and cross over tracks with caution. Don't care what day of the week it is, or what time it is (most of the time) but
do stay prompt with doctor's appointments. Retirement is exactly what you make it, so, jump in with both feet and enjoy. Travel now while the gas prices are down. Got
a feeling things are going to change.

I hear you Chris, been in this business for 40 years. I've seen friends, colleagues, and even my son who was at Chevron in Houston lose his job. I saw this coming several months ago. Also saw in the paper a couple of days ago that the Lafayette area metro has had the largest job lose in the nation this past year. Several thousand, it's tricked down to the local economy. I can talk about this current environment for a while, but won't. The last thing you want to hear right now is folks telling you that you have more time for fishing. I understand that. The folks that stated that when the gasoline prices were so cheap that they have "more money for minners" you want to choke. I'm with you my friend. I'll enjoy seeing you again at Toledo Bend.
