Spraying the Glyphosate today to get a bind on the weeds, half done. So glad the Roundup patent expired. Still, at $80 for 2 1/2 gallons, 40 % Glyphosate will work for us. Goes a long way in my sprayer. Was passing by one of little ponds and saw this bullfrog sitting on the edge. I likes such things:

Since Bruce was talking about Pat's, couldn't help myself stewing some crawfish etouffee for this evening:

Enough fooling around for now, things to do.

Randy, I go meet my dad in the afternoons and we walk the roads by his house and there was a TON of small bull frogs in the ditches, cool thing to see for sure. I told dad in a year or two, those would be eating size!

The thing about going to a university engineering award banquet, they always serve chicken. They don't want to effend some folks attending. Some of these people wouldn't know what to do with a fat pork chop or thick steak on their plate. Yours truly wouldn't have attended, but the man in honor paid for our tickets. I've known him for a long time, and he knows the way I roll. Ann really enjoyed herself because she got to dress up pretty.

She plans on making homemade pizza this evening. One with pepperoni, sausage, onions, and mushrooms. Another with lump crab meat and Alfredo sauce. I likes the thin crust, will work nicely with some fresh Louisiana strawberries.

Phooey on the folks that are uptight about posting what fish are caught where with what. Think about it, what's the point? That's ignorant from the word go. So many posts on other state forums address this for some reason. Not us here on the Louisiana forum - that's the way we roll.

Every secret fishing spot out there has been visited by many fisherman during the course of a year. It's your secret spot until you pull in one day to find another boat sitting right on it. So as far as I'm concerned, I just as soon share it from the get-go. Last weeks trip with Linda we hit a spot that we hadn't fished yet this year. It's a short no name canal without much in the way of features but we usually can pull a couple of slabs or bass out of it. We pull in the canal and came around a bend to find ONLY 5 boats in there already. In years past I've never seen anyone one else in there.
