A trick for loading a boat, when it is hard to come in straight because of wind or current. . Don't back the trailer in as far as usual. Leave more "board" out the water and it will "stab" much easier. Once it is stabbed and pushed on with the motor, then you can back the trailer down further. Of course, this is easier with someone in the truck and someone in the boat. I have used the pvc poles myself. They really help on steep ramps for backing the trailer down to pick up the boat. Of course most new trucks have a camera to assist now. Remember only 24 shopping days to Christmas!!

I have always used those guide poles and this from a guy used to stabbing 48' wide barges through 50' locks. it aint so much the wind as the current in some of my favorite fishing spots that makes them very handy.

Changed the top and bottom oil in the SHO today . Also put a new impeller kit on it. Good to go. $268 for everything. Thanks to my neighbor Chris (ceegee) for taking the lead and helping me save about $300 for labor. Good neighbor's are a blessing.

A great neighbor you have "D". How is Chris doing, he hasn't posted in a while. I guess he's just busy with life. Tell him hello for me.

I noticed my ignition switch was sticking last week, would turn on just fine to hear the beep. Rotate to start, wouldn't budge on occasion. After a couple of tries, would engage the starter. Put the WD-40 to it, still the same. That made me nervous. Did that on numerous occasions last week. I'll pick up a new ignition switch tomorrow during lunch, they have it there with my name on it. They don't give those things away at $131.85 each. I wonder how they came up with the additional 85 cents? You would think they would round it up to 99 cents like Walmart. I'll inquire tomorrow, and wire it in this weekend. At least I'll have some comfort in mind while in the boat.

If Walmart sold it it would probably be $109.99 and how do you know any Walmart prices?

I'd voltage drop test it under load first. Could be neutral safety switch.

Randy, did you try rocking the gear/throttle lever just a tad? I have to do that nearly every time I start my engine or the starter will not engage. Have not had the boat serviced since it started doing this.
