We got a bunch of garden stuff and got out of there for less than 100$ 1.29 less to be exact Peggy joked that she should by a bottle of water or somethig not to break our record. Even if we just going for a pack of seeds we seldom ever get out for less than 100. There is way toooooo many things ya need in there its a dangerous place for a unemployed guy like me.

Back on the addition today. Laid up backing for some slate I picked up. Some folks were re-roofing their house, replaced their slate roof with the asphalt shingles. Crying shame, saw them stacked up on the road - picked them up. Can't help myself. Will pressure wash, cut, and trim tomorrow. Will work nicely, just a small portion here:

When I finally got a going I ran some errands in ma ole rusty jeep and did some yard piddling and transplanted a pomegranate tree from half a whisky barrel it had been living in to Peggy's shade garden the barrel was old and rotten. That required digging out a hole that big which was pretty good chore since it warmed up considerably this afternoon. I got the thing planted and put the bricks back around the bed and still have 3/4 of my big wheel barrow full of dirt to place but that can wait till tomorrow.

Today I jumped in da ole jeep fired her up and went back in for my messenger bag and hat. When I got back out the jeep had quit and wouldn't start. I raised the hood and the filter was dry and she was outa gass. Thank God for the little things. I woulda hated to hafta call Peg to come bring me gass or put me on tow line and drag me to the station.
